Maurice was a Jewish refugee, he was born in Damascus and arrived in The UK on the 26th of June 1940 and was a veterinary surgeon by profession. Maurice remained in England throughout the war finally settling in  Oxon,the book is in reasonable condition with contemporary repair is a very rare document.More research is needed .
