Postcard of Feldwebel Port Knights cross winner

A war time postcard of Feldwebel Johann Port…who  was decorated with the Knight’s Cross on the 25.08.1942 whilst serving as a Zugführer in an Infanterie-Regiment. He received this award for his actions during the offensive battles around Sevastopol in mid-June 1942. Here he managed to reenergize his Bataillon’s temporarily stalled attack on his own initiative, roll up the enemy’s trench system and then fend off all Bolshevik counterattacks.” The card is in good condition and on economy paper .
