This a rare surviving copy of the Daily Herald dated September 18th 1944 and covers the initial allied announcement of operation market garden. This was the famous airborne assault on a three Bridges and the final push into Germany which ended in failure, the famous bridge too far. The newspaper is in good overall condition but has been folded in the past. Please view photos.
